Sealing on the end opening
The clamping cylinder presses the sealing heads onto the valve end openings, so a prepared weld end or threaded end needs no adapter plate.
A hydraulic bench for power-station valves whose ends are welded or threaded rather than flanged. It clamps the body, seals on the two end openings and applies test pressure from a separate high-pressure water circuit, from DN15 to DN800.
Power-station valves are frequently supplied with welded or threaded ends instead of flanges: there is no bolt circle for a machine to grip and no flange face to press a seal against. The KY-A series is built around that fact. A hydraulic cylinder closes two heads onto the valve, and the sealing heads press directly on the two end openings, so a prepared weld end or a threaded end is sealed by the machine itself.
The gap between the heads is published per model as an effective opening: a maximum of 750 mm on KY-A/100 rising to 1550 mm on KY-A/800, and a minimum of 120 mm to 500 mm, so one machine covers a valve list from small forged bodies to large cast valves.
The published maximum valve pressure falls as the size rises: 32.0 MPa on KY-A/100 and KY-A/200, 25.0 MPa on KY-A/300, 10.0 MPa on KY-A/400, 6.4 MPa on KY-A/500 and KY-A/600 and 4.0 MPa on KY-A/800. Clamping and testing are separate circuits, and every model runs on 380 V, 50 Hz with a 6-pole motor of 2.2 kW to 7.5 kW.
Seven models from KY-A/100 to KY-A/800. The electrical platform is common to the series; the size range, pressures, opening and machine size change with the model.

Footnote: the figures above are the published catalogue data for the KY-A series, in which KY-A/600 is listed as DN300-600. The machine is built to order, so the final specification — including each model's size range, the opening and the sealing heads — is confirmed against your valve list at quotation.
The clamping cylinder presses the sealing heads onto the valve end openings, so a prepared weld end or threaded end needs no adapter plate.
Test pressure comes from a dedicated water pump: 50.0 MPa on KY-A/100 to KY-A/500, 25.0 MPa on KY-A/600 and 20.0 MPa on KY-A/800.
The oil pump works between 0 and 6.3 MPa and the cylinder is rated to 31.5 MPa, holding the clamping force steady while the water circuit raises the test pressure.
Published maximum valve pressure falls from 32.0 MPa on KY-A/100 and KY-A/200 to 4.0 MPa on KY-A/800.
380 V, 50 Hz, 6-pole motor: 2.2 kW on KY-A/100 and 7.5 kW on KY-A/400 and above. Optional computerised test data management records and prints each test.
The series is aimed at power-station valves with welded ends and threaded ends, from DN15 to DN800: small bodies tested at high pressure, up to 32.0 MPa on KY-A/100 and KY-A/200, and large-caliber valves at the lower pressures of KY-A/600 and KY-A/800.
Valves that do have flanges are usually better served by the other KANGYUAN families, because a flange gives the machine a face and a bolt circle to work with: the KY series hydraulic valve test bench for flanged valves, the KY-B vertical machine for heavy bodies, and the KY-T series for butterfly valves.
Power-station valves are frequently supplied with welded or threaded ends rather than flanges, so there is no bolt circle for the machine to grip. The KY-A series seals on the end opening instead: the maximum effective opening runs from 750 mm on KY-A/100 to 1550 mm on KY-A/800, with a minimum of 120 mm to 500 mm.
The published models start at KY-A/100 for DN15 to DN100 and finish at KY-A/800 for DN400 to DN800, so the series covers DN15 to DN800 overall. KY-A/600 is published as DN300 to DN600. Tell us the sizes you run and the final specification is confirmed at quotation.
The maximum valve pressure printed for each model falls as the valve gets larger: 32.0 MPa on KY-A/100 and KY-A/200, 25.0 MPa on KY-A/300, 10.0 MPa on KY-A/400, 6.4 MPa on KY-A/500 and KY-A/600, and 4.0 MPa on KY-A/800. The clamping cylinder works at up to 31.5 MPa and the water pump at 50.0 MPa on the smaller models. Acceptance pressure and hold time come from the standard you quote, such as GB/T13927-92 or API 598.
Yes, that is what the series is designed for. The clamping cylinder presses the two sealing heads onto the end openings of the valve instead of bolting to a flange, so a welded-end or threaded-end body can be tested without adapters bolted onto its ends. Send the end connection for each valve size and we will match the sealing heads.
Every model runs on a 380 V, 50 Hz supply with a 6-pole motor, drawing 2.2 kW on KY-A/100 and rising to 7.5 kW on KY-A/400 and above. A computerised test data management system can be ordered so that each valve's test is recorded and printed, and we confirm your plant supply and control level at quotation.
